One year ago today, Ted Cruz idiotically made a Covid prediction that was so very wrong

So what he’s saying is that that’s what he would have done in the Democrats’ position?

Says more about him than them

So, what your saying is, he’s like Planck’s Constant.

Or is that “Conservative’s Constant,” where every tenant they hold is wrong?

No, it’s his Pass Port photo, I think.

In that case, I suggest we place Ted Cruz at some high-pressure ocean depth and see what happens. For science and all that… >_>

Williamson county (including part of Austin, TX) just went back to the highest level of COVID precaution: masks even for vaccinated. It’s just so depressing.

Not just that, but here we are having upticks, and there’s absolutely no desire to go back to masking and cancelling events/closing things down here like other nations are doing with their upticks. And this is after failing to hit the 70% after moving it from “70% of all possible vaccine targets” to “70% of all vaccine targets over age 18” and then to “70% of all vaccine targets in the higher risk categories.” I mean, people haven’t quite noticed this yet, but Biden still claimed victory on July 4th for meeting vaccine goals.

That’s not the highest level though. The highest level is closed businesses/congregating sites. Nobody, even not even blue states, are talking about that and won’t be talking about that ever again.

Sure , it wasn’t “the week after”, but businesses here are talking about people coming back to offices and all that even in high tech jobs that SWORE we were going to be in this new “work from home” age forever.

There must be an algorithm to describe this. …Does the day end in “y”? Ted Cruz is an idiot.

Not only will he be re-elected, it will be because of stuff like this. The old contempt for elites and intellectuals has devolved into hatred of any kind of intelligence, integrity or competence whatsoever. The worse a candidate is, the more they’ll love them, because “sticking it to the libs” or something.

Sorry, he was ENTIRELY wrong. Completely, utterly wrong. It did not “magically go away.” Nor did Democratic politicians stop talking about it and warning about it.

The only thing that happened was the GQP doubled down on the stupid about Covid and decided to ignore it EVEN HARDER. But his comment was specifically about Democratic politicians and the Biden administration. Unqualified failure on his part.

I had that phrase, that this is all going to disappear as soon as Biden is elected, repeated to me ad infinitum. It’s likely one of the reasons that some were vaccine hesitant. So, between this, and other efforts on Ted’s part to scuttle healthcare, infrastructure, et al, is he actually a more effective murderer than the Zodiac killer?
