What do we know about communicability of someone who’s had a virus but is getting over it? It depends on the virus, right, and novel coronavirus is novel so we can’t say for sure in this specific case. But for influenzas, how long does a person stay contagious after they’ve passed the most acute stage of their own infection?
Australian researchers have discovered that the immune system reacts to SARS-CoV-2 much like it was influenza. This should be helpful in developing treatments and vaccines, I hope.
Nononononno. Surely this just got thrown out and the assholes shot? What the actual fuck?
For influenza, basically once you are recovering and fever free, contagion is not a worry. With this beast we just don’t know and some worrisome reports are arising. So , no answer right now.
Using drones to encourage self-isolation:
I found an excellent news source for pandemic relevant information.
This is the University of Minnesota’s Ceter for Infectious Diseases Research and Policy.

Illinois is now banning gatherings over 50. The primary elections are still on; I went to my polling place early, as one voter was leaving. After he left, I was the only one voting.
Hopefully, this will be the last time I have to go somewhere for a while.

Yay for dystopian television programing!
Especially if you’re dealing with calcific tendinitis like me. All I get is that and the doctors won’t even give me a steroid shot to take the edge off.
This guy…
I wish he AND his son would go away…
This asshole is a fucking physician! Grrrr…
Perhaps not for a whole lot longer…
In better world people like that would be made accountable for what they are saying.
This bodes well.
