I live in Houston and we’ve gotten word that officials are/have drafted a shelter-in-place order of some sort for Harris County. Our mayor, Sylvester Turner, went onto CNBC an hour ago and, based on my news feed that I’m updating, he seems to have not said anything about sheltering in place. Houston’s Medical Center leaders are calling for it but it doesn’t seem like anybody is delivering on that front, and it’s fucking maddening. This is especially the case since every other city here in Texas has either issued one or has announced that they’ll be issuing one really soon.
