At the start of the pandemic, the remote Indigenous community that my brother lives in (he’s the vice-principal of the school) secured their community by dragging a bunch of car-sized boulders onto the access road.
The authorities are cool with it, and the boulders will remain there until the crisis is over.

What’s interesting is how linear the overall trend in case growth is . To get fro 1 million to 2 million, 2 million to 3 million and 3 million to 4 million, all took around 13 days.
Given that the virus would grow exponentially in the absence of mitigating measures, this relentless linear growth is vaguely positive.

Sweden is obviously anomalous to the rest of Finno-Scandinavia (did I get that right?), but I do suspect that it’s position between the US and UK has more to do with those countries hiding it at least “de-prioritizing” accurate mortality counts.
