Oops! News reporter blames plane crash on defective "flux capacitator"

I’ve never met a kid that didn’t like it… though I suppose statistically speaking, some must exist, somewhere.

I’m gonna go with the theory that the pilot was just messing with the reporter, and she fell for it; rotely repeating what she’d heard, without thinking about it first.

It is a mysterious and powerful device, and it’s mystery is only exceeded by it’s power.

Wait…that might be the continuum transfunctioner.

Definitely don’t order your food capacitors from AliExpress. They may be cheaper than Digikey but at what cost…

Heh, 1955 Doc Brown couldn’t parse Ronald Reagan becoming president…

Hey, at least Biff Tannen could make money running casinos.

It would have been funny if they got the term correct. ‘flux capacitor’ not ‘flux capacitator’. Criminy!

Probably. But I wonder if maybe she was reading off a teleprompter and someone in the office was having a little fun. I don’t know enough about local TV news to know if they have teleprompters or writers though.

On a separate note…

She’s in the field so it’s on her (and probably the pilot who was screwing around when she was interviewing and taking notes for the stand-up). A reporter doing a live remote will sometimes submit a basic script (along with video to be edited) back to the studio for closed captioning and sometimes a writer or producer will check it, but apparently this was not one of those times.

In hindsight 2015 wasn’t too shabby.

As with most of your opinions as of late; I disagree.

Time machine controller, flux capacitor not show as embedded.

I think the pilot pranked her… sort of like in the Boy Scouts when some Tenderfoot would be told to look for a left-handed windbreaker or a sky hook.

I loved that movie. Unfortunately tacky special effects, but the inventiveness and imagination made the watching enjoyable.
