Except for specialty food and beverage that you can only get inside the parks (e.g. Disneyland’s Dole Whips or turkey legs) or that have a special association with them, I don’t see much point in paying the captive-audience premium. People who are on a budget should be aware that most theme parks have a free picnic area just outside the gates. For example:
