That’s pretty much it. If the occupiers were radical islamists, or black people, or a latin american drug runners, or really anyone who isn’t white, they’d have properly executed siege protocol and this would have ended in a week because freezing your ass off and starving sucks balls and the occupiers would have given up.

I mean, MY GOD… stolen vehicle, suspect is likely armed, and he is peacefully arrested by two state troopers in windbreakers, then charged with “suspicion of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a class C felony punishable by up to five years in prison”. What the hell is wrong with this country??? Where were the swat teams and tanks and the dozens of police that are sure to have been there if this were anyone other than a pouting angry white manchild?

My problem on the phone is that Discourse interprets loading the thread as “Oh, you wanted to scroll all the way to the top? Okay!” and prevents the nav doodad from working at all.

I am confident the people there have better knowledge of the electrical grid there than either of us. I have no doubt that if they could cut power without the risk of getting shot or screwing the locals, they would.
