I doubt he knows how anything works.
If “churches” want to keep government out of their religion, keep your religion out of our government.
“God is against abortion” is doctrine.
“God is against Democrats” is politics.
That does tend to explain why they’re so against children being exposed to the very idea of homosexuality. After all, once they realize it is possible, they won’t be able to resist the siren call of sweet gay love. So it’s not that they don’t believe that anybody is really a homosexual. What they really believe is that nobody is really a heterosexual.
