Pat Boone reveals Obama's plan to "release all murderers"

Correct. “Socialist” and "Communist " are varying tones of dog whistle.

Hah, I thought the same thing.

Actual headline on the front page of today’s USA Today: Obama accused of shirking pardon duties (they softened it a little on the website). Clearly he’s so busy ignoring the Constitution and freeing terrorists that we haven’t been able to convict of anything that he’s neglecting lots of natural-born American criminals.

Come on, in 'Merican, “Liberal” is an insult.

Agreed! Learn the terms and use them the right way please.

So . . . releasing a bunch of guys who have been in prison for years (and some not even charged with a crime) naturally leads to ALL prisoners being released? Interesting theory. Seems like the only way to stop this travesty is an automatic death penalty for any crime, proven or suspected, lest someone (anyone) walk free.

I’d like to laugh and point out World Net Daily is like the Weekly World News of the conservative world (where the articles would give The Onion stiff competition were they sarcastic), but I know that a lot of people take that stuff seriously. Charles Krauthammer noted that Fox News created an “alternate reality” for conservatives, and “alternate reality” often makes me think of paranoid schizophrenia.

“What if our elected leadership had decided America no longer deserved to be leader of the free world, should have its military and its programs reduced to ineffectual status, our vibrant economy bankrupted, and that our republic should be “fundamentally transformed” into a virtual socialist, if not outright communist, society?”

Hmmm . . . yes, “what if”. . . isn’t this a perfect straw man argument? Here, let me try: “What IF Pat Boone were actually an foreign agent trying to destroy America from within by convincing some of the population that other citizens (liberals, homosexuals, feminists) are actually the enemy and pose a greater threat than al Qaeda and North Korea combined?”

Thank you for using Do Not Link. More people should use that, IMO…

The original lyrics to the Little Richard song “Tutti Fruitt” he had a hit from blandisizing:

"Tutti Frutti, good booty
If it don't fit, don't force it
You can grease it, make it easy"

On the whole - I prefer his cousin Richard Boone much, much better. Have Gun, Will Travel.

And - “In her 2004 autobiography “'Tis Herself”, Maureen O’Hara wrote that Boone and Peter Lawford were arrested in a gay bar in Melbourne, Australia, while filming Kangaroo. The studio managed to prevent this from being reported by the press.”

What’s not to like?

It is scary, though, just how completely so many people can live inside a shared alternative reality. Large swaths of Americans know, as certain fact, that everything they spout about the socialist commie Kenyan king Obama is true. I’m not exaggerating. They believe this crap wholeheartedly. The worst part is how many of them there are.

Every minute of the day, you can pull equally batshit crazy articles off of WorldNetDaily.
It is a neverending fount of batshit.

What might be scarier still is accepting that all human realities are “alternate”, and tend to mostly differ only in popularity. It appears quite probable that humans simply do not directly perceive reality.

Don’t tell me what to do!
(ETA: the dreaded 502 is back @sam, only this time you actually have to retry your post to make it work)

As a self-defense mechanism. It’s likely that most people cannot handle the truth.

What is a “self”, and why/how would it be defended?

All that a human directly knows is its own nervous system. Anything else humans think that they know is a model they’ve created using this nervous system. So, assuming that their senses are accurate, they understand their own cognitive processes, their models of the outside world, and their modelling of the cognitive processes of other people are all accurate - they might hope for something resembling second-hand reality. But since “self” basically functions as a confirmation of consistent interpretation of data, people naturally assume this level of accuracy anyway.

Some jurisdictions seem to have started doing this, unfortunately.

You know how they say that the older you get, the more conservative you become? I find that to be bullshit, at least in my case.

Anarchy > Hierarchy, especially when the hierarchy is constructed of dollars marinated in white supremacy, misogyny and religion.
