Peeping inside Paris's new nudist restaurant

So when I stated “generally” you just skipped past that and went to an absolutism.

Ok. Enjoy your day.

I actually really skipped as in didn’t read the “generelly”. Sorry.

However, I do consider the assumption that normal clothing might prevent you from the worst spill burns a bit dangerous. Depending on the clothing the damage can be even worse and anything that gives a false sense of protection (like using “non-sharp blades to avoid cuts") is a bad thing anyway. Also, this causes people to use way too much heat and additional grease when frying bacon.

Yes, there’s a scene where the characters sit around one-upping each other’s scars while they’re waiting around for the shark to show up.

I do not disagree with what you are saying; however, do look up the details on the infamous “McDonald’s coffee incident”. The fact is standard coffee temp is around 165-175 and at that time McDonald’s was keeping their coffee at over 190 beyond the recommended manufacturer/safety standards (they had their own standard).

My point holds that under normative conditions, most reasonable temperatures for even hot foods would be in the 130-160 range, which is burn area temps; and while no a silk blouse will not protect your skin from the burn, a pair of denim jeans will.

There is also a great difference between spilling 190d coffee on oneself, or being doused with 300d frying oil, or perhaps 215d pasta water…and a more likely scenario while dining at a restaurant like a fork full of 135d baked scrod dropping onto your lap.

Thanks for the The Tote Bag link, I’ve been looking for something like that.
Well, actually I’m constantly on the lookout for the perfect bag. It should be robust and reasonably waterproof, but not shouting “hey, there’s lots of valuable equipment in here”. (At the moment I’m using a Swiss army gas mask bag, but the colour doesn’t really go with anything.)
