I love the general positive lessons we’re getting instead of action figures. Gravity Falls? Adventure Time? I’m under no illusion that kids are going to be forever better because of them, but the lessons are pretty great.

Degree of fickleness depends on one’s perception.
Definitely a cute show, while I agree with pretty much all the underlying messages, I just haven’t taken to it. I dig it, perhaps it gets more going after the first season.

Things get really complicated in later seasons. When some of the dialog starts going WOOSH over the kids’ heads (“Yeah, I’ve seen Greg’s junk”) and the grownups realize “WHOA, there’s a whole lot of history and pain going on here.”

I had intended to join the Labour Party when I got to U. First union meeting I was early and found a seat. Just before the meeting started an officer of the party turned up, found no seat and ordered me out. I pointed out I had every right to be there, so he said “I’m important, I’ll get the people round you to democratically vote you out.”
That was the precise moment at which I decided that (a) politics wasn’t for me and (b) many politicians are dipshits regardless of orientation.
