Only if it motivates liberals to a real response. Not symbolic protest, direct action.
The Trumpists enjoy seeing images of suffering in the camps. They revel in it. It reinforces their view of immigrants as subhuman, and bolsters their claims of a border crisis.
It’s not a PR fight; it’s a power fight.
The camps will close when the people force them to close.

Yes, and they also think it’s perfectly justified as supposed “deterrence.” Sick fucks.
People here are growing more and more outraged. That might get strong enough to force closure.
