Reminder for those that don’t know: the red pill started as an allegory of the Jewish question on 4chan (as far back in time as I know), where the question “when were you red pilled” was asking when someone’s antisemitism was radicalized. The much more famous place it was used was the subreddit of the same name which was established as an MRA subreddit that stalked and harassed women all over the place. Fringe GOP groups (like Turning Point USA) have made it more mainstream within the GOP, but it’s roots are famously in bigotry and organized online harassment.

The thing about economic stabilizers is that they would almost certainly pay for themselves over the long term by preventing the economy from collapsing. In other words, their cost as a percentage of the economy will be negative, because without them output will be much lower. It’s literally free money, and the CBO’s cramped ideological perspective is preventing America from picking it up.
