This tweet is, to me, pretty shocking. Part of the reason that people working the dangerous jobs have been so poorly prepared for this is neoliberalism. They are poorly paid, often immigrants, and utterly ignored by the system that chews them up and spits them out (denies citizenship to them and their children, leaves their employment precarious etc.)
I speak only for North Western Europe here.
Here is the British government saying that they won’t publish a report on BAME workers dying disproportionately. Due to the BLM protests ongoing. In other words: we won’t print what we know because IT WILL MAKE YOU RIOT WITH RAGE!
And this isn’t a dig at England, because they are at least having that question discussed.

Been hearing about how our and other organizations have been dealing with the “stimulus” package, and it sounds like a byzantine nightmare (by design, no question).

Yep - they’ll lose NC. But also their convention will crash.
They’ve been working on that for at least two years. It’s going to be a cluster fuck to move it on two months notice. The conventions rely on heavy hitter local fundraisers to pull together the money, volunteers, logistics- police plans.
This will be a disaster - televised in prime time.
