Interpreting it through the wide lens of religious hypocrisy and lies, it shows the fakery of religious promises and the gullibility of lots of humans. This guy is definitely not getting resurrected, and definitely could not cure covid19. But the faithful follow him, alive or dead, in spite of years of evidence that he was a fraud.
There are scientists and clear thinkers in Cameroon. But not in that church.
If he was not so afraid of going to hell he would have touched himself.
Think of it as evolution in action.

Some of the followers were probably already infected due to having been previously “touched” by the pastor and they have quite possibly now passed it to others in the crowd. It may have been safer to isolate the whole crowd. “Encouraging” them to leave might give them the chance to pass it on to others who weren’t in the crowd. Yes - not enough info to be sure. I’ve now idea if those in the crowd would be physically isolating after they were allowed to leave.
