When I was in Louisville KY, thirty years or so ago, the main news story was about a kid on crutches who was running for their school bus when they disappeared down a manhole where the cover had popped. They never found him. I still think about that child from time to time, especially when I see stories like this.
Trying to imagine the pressure buildup under one of those manhole covers that would make it flap around like that 
what does that say about blocked drains…
And that, kids, is why they should always be round
