Yeah. They will eventually destroy themselves; fascism is self-destructive and unstable ideology, after all. But they’ll destroy a whole lot of innocent people and important things along the way.

German and Italian fascism were destroyed from without via a war that they initiated, sure, but the example of Spain shows that a fascist system could endure for longer than that, as long as they kept their violence within their borders. If the Germans had not declared war on the Soviet Union, who knows what would have happened. And no one did anything when the Italians invaded Ethiopia (some light hand-wringing at the league of nations, maybe)…
We can’t count on fascism burning itself out, since it burns on the bodies of those they target. You cut it off as soon as you can, but it might already be too late.

He wasn’t even aware that Trump was on trial for rape. It’s one thing to have the opinion that he is innocent, or that it’s a frame job, or whatever. But to not even know about it, tells you everything you need to know about how deep in his bubble he is.
