As with other theatrical performances, like pro-wreasling, Star Trek should never let the continuity get in the way of the story telling.
As the Klingons say, Q’fabe!
On my way to work this morning saw a license plate that said “PETDOK” to which I immediately thought ‘that’s a weird way to spell a Klingon insult’
(week 3 of quitting caffeine is interesting)
Commander Kruge, after a torpedo hit sends a jolt of electricity through the bridge: ”I NEED A PETDOK!”
I would so wear that as a shirt.
Par’mach will tear us apart?
I’m not enough of a nerd to laugh at that properly, but I bet it kills with the real Trekkies
It does!
taken from the DS9 episode where Worf tried to. woo a Noble Klingon woman (who was Quark’s ex wife [its a long story]) all the while the beautiful Jadzia Dax was throwing herself at him and he had not a clue.
Episode “Looking for Par’mach in all the wrong places”
option two was “you’ve never experienced Joy Division until you’ve heard it in the original Klingon”
Jadzia and Worf are probably my all time favorite Trek couple…
agreed 100%
followed closely by Kirk and Spock.
Waaay better than that time the writers tried to turn Worf and Troi into a couple on TNG despite the characters having zero romantic chemistry or even common interests.
Troi and Jadzia I might have believed…
[Furiously googling Troi Jadzia slash fic]
Seven & Raffi are right up there too.
My third place. And hopefully we will get more if Legacy ever comes around. As a good friend of mine said “The end of Picard S3 gave us the best lesbian relationship representation on Star Trek ever. A broken up couple has fixed their issues, uhaul’d on to a ship together with their adopted family of young officers to start a new family across the stars”
Do we need a poll? Should I make a poll?
Spoilers?
