Racist fracking aficionado fired after video posted to YouTube

Yet I answered the rest of your question in the very post you replied to right after making sure the rest of the debate was closed.

You only chose to reply to the one line that wasn’t an answer to your question.

I’m not sure whether to be more disappointed in you or in myself for thinking you might be clever and possibly even useful.

They’re not assholes, just stupid!

Edit later: Fuck it. Who cares? Clearly not most folks here.

People are going to be joyous in singing “Allah Akbar” in this thread about some asshole getting comeuppance. Who cares about anything else because he wasn’t civil.

uses the wayback machine known as ‘scrolling up’

Seriously, are you even trying?

Well, I don’t have a problem accidentally getting in peaceful people’s faces, calling black people ‘ni**ers’, or making chimp noises. It doesn’t take all that much work not to do that.

Besides, you’re acting like I didn’t respond to your question. I both tried to verify you were done with the first part of the argument AND answered your question.

It’s in the SAME POST

Seriously, this is absurd. It’s like trying to herd weasels.

You poor man. The hardship this has caused you. You’re such a saint in persevering in this argument against all odds.

At least you can take some small joy in the suffering of this base person who yelled at a bunch of people and is a racist.

I choose to not feel too smug about the suffering of another person simply because he “deserved” it. It goes against my own beliefs to take joy when others take harm

Please, though, tell me how I’ve disappointed you again.

If firing people is corporate protected speech, everyone just gets their minds blown.

Well for starters by not reading and addressing the posts in which questions you asked are clearly answers, and throwing in more tangential variables without finishing the previous part of the discussion.

Am I to assume you’ve given up on the ‘things impacting harassment of others might cause people doing things not involving harassing others’ argument and the ‘wait, what about the intertubes that I just now brought up’ argument?

I mean, we can agree to disagree about which axis is the most important (I think ‘if it impacts the work’s PR’ is a crappy one, myself)

Who’s smug? My point is that if we drew these lines differently he’d have never thought this sort of thing was even vaguely okay (it’s not) and not have crossed that line most likely. The legalistic rules we have (if you don’t get arrested or it doesn’t impact PR) are part of the problem, as it creates a race to the bottom.

Besides, it’s not like there aren’t people very much in need who wouldn’t benefit from that job slot opening up. It’s not like it suddenly vanished with him. Employment’s not a zero sum game.

why is this guy starting to remind me of popabawa4u?

He’s @popobawa4u anti-matter except they’re both against our current society’s structures.

I’m…umm…that might a really good statement.

To be fair, I don’t know @popopbawa4u that well and my approaches are kind of the opposite of what the typical TVP/Planned Community/hide away from the world sort espouses. But yeah, I think this birth nation lottery is kind of bullshit and doesn’t deserve much respect.

Because when he assures us he’s right he forgets that in making any argument there’s always the risk of being proven wrong?

Citations?

I haven’t got much of a comment on the topic that hasn’t already been said better by someone else, but wanted to say that that gif is a thing of beauty.

Heh.
I think that’s the fundamental flaw that a lot of us are trying to address indifferent ways.

Civilization should be something you choose, not something you’re born into. Otherwise it’s just kind of a race to the bottom. (as we’re seeing)

For what?
(real question)

For this.

Might as well be clear on what you’re talking about. And it helps to double-check before disparaging somebody else.

I find that sort of map annoying, because my instinct is to look for state borders–if only as landmarks.

It’s also tied to media rather than other measures which can be deceiving. It’s showing Idaho as being low racism with a pocket of no data. I’m guessing their media are mellow, but the state itself is a one of the more popular places for white nationalists.
