We live in south east Michigan about 35 miles north east of Detroit on the Canadian border. About 10 years ago snowy owls started showing up in our neighborhood and in our backyard.
This is the roof of our neighbors house about 200 feet away. The owl is watching our bird feeder looking for an easy meal. That’s one of our squirrels that may or may not have known the danger but we chased him back in his house.
This one was also in a neighbor’s tree. This was the first one we ever saw.
