You know, I really like Rep. Omar, really.

Cue the hand-wringing from Trumpists bemoaning the lack of civility from the (baby-eating reptilian demon commie terrorist) Left.

We should be very worried about the precedent that was set here. /s

There is only so much grace we can extend to others as humans before we must learn to cut our loses or hang up on someone

Good advice for the corporate media regarding sado-populists like Boebert. Not that they’ll listen.

I have a feeling this pandemic has taught us all a similar lesson. I, for one, no longer waste my time on people who have shown me that they are not worth it.

“Now as a strong, Christian woman who values faith deeply, I never want anything I say to offend someone’s religion.”

You conflated her religion with terrorism, Boebert.

Well, that’s different… Islam’s not a religion, it’s a cult! /s

I could never read more than half a tract before my eyes rolled so hard I could only see the inside of my head…

Boebert is such a dangerously stupid and racist person - dangerous not only to democracy but dangerous in a very literal way to her colleagues in congress (she’s one of the reasons there are metal detectors for congresspeople to walk through now).

And yet I suspect her bullshittery will not garner any of the censure that, say, Rashida Tlaib garnered for her completely reasonable and prescient call to “impeach the motherfucker.”

When I was mean or disrespectful as a kid, my parents would use the phrase “you ought to be ashamed of yourself!” And I would be.

I don’t know why Rep. Boebert’s parents didn’t teach her the same lessons. Perhaps her parents were really shitty racists, too. But she desperately needs a seriously healthy dose of shame.

I’m thinking like the Congressional Ethics Committee forcing her to have to sit quietly in front of Biden while he gives her The Talk, and then marched from the White House up the hill to the Capitol along a path lined with jeering citizens (armed with nothing more dangerous than spoiled tomatoes), complete with a Septon Unella-type escort ringing a bell and crying out “Shame! Shame!”

I dunno, it probably wouldn’t teach her a god damned thing.
