Republicans know it is a bad thing to be labelled as a fascist or Nazi, but they want to be able to do their fascism anyway. They have also tried their best to muddy the waters by saying it is fascism to stop fascists doing fascism, but letting fascists do fascism is American freedom.
Disturbingly, people who should know better believe them.

Pretty sure the 1st Amendment (freedom of the press to report on literally what he himself says with no pushback from government) and C-SPAN (literal video of him saying the things in Congress) are not very secret.
If you don’t want to be seen as the bad guy… stop being a bad guy.
