Resources for accessing reproductive care

This is a general thread for anything involving promoting access to reproductive care. Please put any relevant links here and share any and all information you can find to help our fellow mutants live a full, safe, and healthy life, whether or not they are capable of becoming pregnant…

I’ll start with a link to Jezebel:

How to Stockpile Plan B

If you’re in one of the states that still allows abortion, consider buying a couple of Plan B packets and be ready to mail them to where they can do the most good. I suggest using a return address that is a public building, in case of blowback.

Plenty of Plan B on the shelves of the local Walgreens today where I live in Alabama.

The two clinics in the state that provide abortion gave both stopped as of today.

Aidaccess.org website seems to be struggling a bit today. It loaded fine just now, wouldn’t load earlier.

Note that Plan B is not an abortion drug and should be taken asap after sex, at least within 5 days, which means the mail option is unlikely to be timely. The abortion pill, Mifepristone or RU-486, would be the one to stockpile.

We can stockpile both.

I don’t know… maybe we can have a separate thread for political contributions?

Perhaps just should have pulled the meat of the message instead:

Your contribution will be split evenly between EMILY’s List, NARAL Pro-Choice America, and 1 other group.

Okay. thanks.

I stand corrected.

It still should be in this thread.

Props to @cepheus42 for mentioning it in another thread, but here’s a link to the primary Auntie Network reddit page:

ETA: they have a pretty solid “Resources” section under the wiki tab.

Here’s a specific clinic that gives a template for what needs to happen all over: pro-choice states providing care just over the border from anti-choice states.

Hope Clinic For Women

Just miles from the Missouri border, the Hope Clinic For Women has been providing safe medical care to people seeking abortion since 1974. The clinic serves primarily patients from nearby Missouri.

The clinic collaborated with Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region last year to open a Regional Logistics Center, which provides support to people traveling to get healthcare and connects them with local abortion funds.
