He didn’t shoot his son, only his wife and daughter.
Fortunately, I read the son’s reaction yesterday and it’s clear he is not following in his father’s footsteps.
The daughter that wasn’t home at the time of the shooting was on local news last night. She looked like she could barely hold it together long enough to talk to reporters, but she had stern and dire warnings about family members falling into the Q hole, especially if there are guns in the house.
Where this happened is a fairly affluent area in Oakland County. It’s being somewhat sensationalized locally because of how unusual it is.

So glad one child at least is safe.
It’s not clear to me how many kids there are, but the two daughters are (and, the one who I hope can rest in peace) adults.
That happened 15 minutes from my house. I am not at all surprised. The love of donnie smallfingers is unsettlingly strong here.
