Retro mechanical keyboard

You use numbers?

Sometimes!

I really don’t like the row at the top though; having 0 by 9 is just lunacy. At least on the numpad, 0 is by 1.

I guess I do too, though don’t have π or ℵ₀ on mine.

I agree.

I still have one of these on my main office machine, and used to use the numpad before I managed to go entirely surreal:

I love the integrated trackpoint! (It needs a middle button though.)

I can’t use a keyboard without a trackpoint. I’ve had this one since before middle buttons were really a thing, but I do miss it when I move from my laptops to the desktop.

Some design software requires a numpad to set custom key bindings, it is usually faster for entering a lot of numbers, and some games require it. They are useful enough that I’ve bought a separate one if it is otherwise missing on a system.

I never could stand those things.

That’s a Keychron. They’re lovely, but really do require a wrist rest. Fortunately, Keychron also sell beautiful walnut wrist rests. Very happy with mine.

Yup. I linked to the respective Kickstarter a bit further up
