I hadn’t realized that this is the same Glen Gilzean involved here.
Anyway, makes me wonder when DeSantis will deploy his private army to lock down Disney World, and whether Disney will counter this by hiring Eric Prince and whatever Eric’s PMC is called by then.

So he’s an unaccountable, authoritarian, dictatorial ruler, who dehumanises his enemies whether political or ideological, implements vendettas against any and all who thwart him, bases his policies on religion, militarism, racism, xenophobia, valorisation of “traditional values” (as he defines them) and on stoking fear of a nebulous but omnipresent Other with an ever increasing definition and the claim that this Other is an existential threat which does not just allow for, but demands not just its suppression but its elimination.
That’s a bit of a mouthful. If only there was some shorter word which sums that all up.
