If I had cancer, I’d probably want my partner to at least help cook, clean, do laundry and help out with more than 50% of childcare, and then I’d brag about what a great partner they were when I was sick. And why is it in "humility "? Is it humble that he didn’t send an aide, or force his sick wife to drive in rush hour traffic? The fact she can’t think of anything else to say about him helping out is telling.

I saw that interview when it was first released and I was similarly puzzled. My dad was the parent who got me ready for school, and dropped me off and picked me up from school whenever I couldn’t ride my bike. (He also ironed his own shirts because he was very picky.)
Maybe that’s why he’s against gay marriage, he can’t figure out who would do anything around the house or take care of kids if it’s only men in a household. /s
