Russia invades Ukraine

The downside of Putin though is that he has concentrated so much power under him that I don’t know what happens in the scramble to fill the power void when he dies, unless he is deposed by more democratic internal forces in an orderly fashion before his death.

Here, I made you a jpg!

Very true. Their solutions are often kludgy by necessity but they’re effective kludges and they tend to be durable. The helmet-mounted aiming system on the 1980s-vintage MiG-29 (the plane apparently flown now by the Ukrainian mystery ace against Russia) is one of the famous examples.

Several dozens had already sought refuge in the shul. “There’s no bomb shelter here, but at least we can be together,” Rabbi Markovitch told the outlet and other Israeli media.

Rabbi Markovitch also reportedly estimated hundreds of Jews remain in the Ukrainian capital.

I’ve been thinking a lot today about how Ukraine’s current and former President are right there in the middle of Kyiv taking up arms and joining with the militias defending the city — prepared to die defending it against an invading army.

I contrast this with Trump hiding out in the White House bunker when some rowdy protesters were a few blocks away.

It’s not fair to blame Greenwald on Hunter.

It could be true. Trump was after all the one trying to break up NATO and withhold aid from Ukraine…I’m sure Putin knows to never interrupt your enemy while they are making a mistake.

I love this quote from Zelenskyy

The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride.

I know that it’s just pop culture, but using the profile picture of a rebel leader who witness the destruction of her home planet by an authoritarian regime to advise rolling over. Chefs kiss.

They bought space pens as soon as NASA did.
