Russia invades Ukraine

Clickbait indeed.

In addition to calling them flamethrowers, the articles I’ve seen have titles purporting to show a vehicle carrying thermobaric rockets. In the text, it said they were rockets capable of having thermobaric warheads (or incendiary, or regular high explosive). And of course you cant tell when the tubes are sealed.

Its tiresome.

ETA: TOS-1 nomenclature comes from the russian for “heavy flamethrower” ( тяжёлая огнемётная система), so they’re just copy-pasting the poor definition and using it as a functional fact

I truly fear Putin’s next steps in this conflict. If the reports posted earlier regarding Russia’s current armament supply are true, then I only see him using more detestations weaponry. Being cut off from SWIFT will only make him more desperate and politically he can’t just turn around and go home.

OMG WTF

Everybody in the world loves New Orleans

Everybody who’s been there loves Asheville and Atlanta and I’m sure lots of other places I have not had a chance to visit

Nobody has a problem with “Southern Culture”

They should have a problem with white supremacy

I’m really hoping his own people kill him before it gets that far. If that Ukrainian intel report posted earlier is true then there’s at least one person in his inner circle who leaked it.

Yeah, that would be the best scenario and probably not an unlikely one. Someone in his inner circle can give him a taste of his own polonium.

Not “Southern Culture”; Southern Culture, a.k.a. Enslavement and Jim Crow and segregation.

He’s denouncing “degeneracy” when I thought the Russian propaganda line was to denounce America’s racism, which is on the other side of the degeneracy debate

Whatever  shouldn’t expect it to make sense—when people show you who they are, etc. etc.

The Lincoln Project, for some reason, has created a PSA about Russia and the Republicans:

I know it seems like a small gesture. Until you consider how little else there is to do in New Hampshire but drink.

Russia makes beer and wine? I mean, that’s a headline itself, isn’t it? :face_vomiting:

abbott is trying to do the same thing. i think it’s a move that seeks to be popular with the baptists as well as the ukraine fans.

I find the repeated use of comrade and soviet imagery kinda funny. I guess this ad is made for an older demographic.

Some of the Baltikas (beer) aren’t bad.

Baltika 9 is probably what they stock the bars in Hell with.

Horrifying stuff.

Interesting that they’re no longer talking about MAGAts but about Republicans in general in this typically vicious and well-crafted ad. It looks like the neoCons behind TLP are acknowledging that they can’t take the party back from the death cult. I wonder if their next step is building a new conservative party.

For sure. The Boomers who voted for Reagan and venerate him for supposedly beating the Commies. Maybe some Third-Way Dems from that generation too.

This seems like another version of “freedom fries”. Are we banning all Russian imports too?

They’re switching the labels out to Old Man of the Mountain authentic New Hampshire vodak?

Not a lot for them to export to the U.S. except booze, especially since we’re not dependent on their primary export like Europe is. It’s a symbolic gesture that won’t impact anyone in Russia or the U.S.

“Freedom Fries” didn’t rise to the level of a symbolic gesture because it was so deeply deeply stupid.

Those fries didn’t come from France?
