Arguably none of it is near London. However, at the time a fair bit of it was still in the ground at the Torr Works in Somerset.

Nope. Whether or not you like the music, is a matter of opinion. The actual quantifiable attributes of a voice, is not. You might want to avail yourself of a good dictionary, and look up what “opinion” means.
