Keeping my Ayn the prize, I’d say Atlas shrugged.
Ain’t life Rand?

Charles Atlas would have kicked that virus’ ass like it was a scrawny 90-pound weakling at Muscle Beach.

There’s an indelible master list (“writ large upon the brow of the salamander”) of these trump toadies, along with their trump suck-up ratings, that they may be shunned, jeered, and shamed for the rest of their fox"news" shameful existences, yes?

I believe it was that when asked about the number of deaths from going for herd immunity Atlas shrugged, & said “meh”.

How will we find out way out of this covid mess with an Atlas?

He’s not just a solo kook – he’s a prominent senior fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institute, which employs a lot of kooks in all kinds of fields.

Most of Stanford’s faculty is enraged that Stanford won’t drop their connection to Hoover. Stanford’s president keeps arguing that it’s a question of “academic freedom” but critics very reasonably point out that junk science shouldn’t be considered a part of “academic freedom” – Atlas is not just an advocate for a position that has turned out to be wrong, he is an ideologically driven advocate for viewpoints that are known to kill many people. Stanford may as well be the home for people pushing for gratuitious injection of mercury into the water supply on the grounds that it cures TB, or sending clouds of lead vapor into the homes of everyone in Iowa in order to keep vampires away.

The Hoover Institution is a conservative public policy think tank, not a scientific institution, located at Stanford. It’s not a science research entity. Its primary focus is foreign policy, but it also has conservative policy wonks and professors in media, history and economics.

Taking medical advice from a Hoover fellow is NOT suggested.

That’s just the first tangle. They’re not officially connected to the Koch State Policy Network or Atlas Network, but they’re funded by the same usual suspects, and their fellows usually have interlocking fellowships at the other organizations. Planet Libertarian.

The Hoover Institution was a prototype for the rest: A parasite grafted on to a real educational institution, with its budget and funding hidden within the university.
