I went into Season 1 cold and had no idea it would develop into such an amazing love story. High quality stuff. I also didn’t realize Rhys Darby was so brilliant back when he was “just” the Flight of the Conchords’ band manager!

I’m not going to watch the trailer, because of spoilers, but I will be watching the show, I loved it and have been waiting for Season 2 for what feels like forever.

I find Rhys Darby hilarious but I’m not sure why I couldn’t get into this show. Is the first episode a dud, or pretty indicative of the season? I just wasn’t finding it funny and I really wanted to.

Personally, I thought it got much better as it went along and as I got drawn in. I recommend at least watching until Blackbeard appears.
