Secretary of State Rex Tillerson called President Trump a "moron", wanted to quit

  1. Can’t say I have. If I felt that way I’d probably quit, assuming my financial situation allowed me to do so.
  2. It wasn’t a private conversation, at least not the “venting about your boss after work to a close confidant” kind of way. it was a high-level meeting at the Pentagon with Trump’s national security team and other members of the cabinet.
  3. This is not a normal. None of it is normal.

But Tilllerson didn’t quit, did he?

That is the reason I don’t believe this story.

He also didn’t deny calling the President a moron. That’s one of the reasons I do believe it.

Maybe not with that word, I’ve certainly thought a former boss was not very smart and was dramatically unfit to be managing other people. If that person somehow became the leader of my country (or any country) I’d be extremely concerned.

I’ve had bosses probably as bad as Trump, but none of them have ever run my country before. The scale makes the difference.

The countdown has begun. I’ll put my bet on Friday the 13th of October, because well, unlucky; and, the closer we get to October 31, the greater the power of the bloated orange gourd becomes. Having Tillerson’s soul to feed on seems like an important part of that upward taper of evil.

Given this plus the “total confidence” kiss of death, I’d honestly be surprised if he makes it through the weekend:

Hard to say. They may have too much on each other.

If there’s one good thing that will come out of this train wreck of a presidential administration, it’s the AMAZING stories that are going to come out after it’s all over.

This is all TOTALLY FINE and ABSOLUTELY A NORMAL THING in the highest levels of government, everybody.

And by “suicide” they mean pulling the diamond-crusted ripchords of their golden parachutes to sail back into incredibly lucrative jobs, where they continue to manipulate global events from slightly further away…

I have to say, this makes me think somewhat less of Mattis, somewhat little less of Tillerson, but strangely doesn’t change my opinion of Mnuchin.

I’m kind of there too. I mean, Tillerson is a ruthless scumbag, but it seems to me like he might be sticking around to try to mitigate the damage Trump is doing.

It’s certainly a question.

It seems like nobody would want to work for Turmp. But then you think, well… maybe nobody did. Because in this context, “nobody” means “nobody who any normal administration would’ve considered in a million years”. Out of the entire population, of course you can find someone.

And then you start to wonder just how far down the list the Turmp administration has had to go to find people. I have no idea who the most capable diplomats and foreign policy experts in America are. None of Turmp’s cabinet are people you’d previously heard of in connection with their current field. So is Tillerson, like, number 50, or is he number 500,000? It’s worrying when you think about this too much.

I came on here solely to look for somewhere to post him, I was not disappointed :joy::joy::joy:

The only way that could happen would be using (parts of) the US nuclear arsenal on the US itself.
Not that I would put it past him, given his mental faculties, it is highly unlikely; there are safeguards against this sort of thing.

Even more unlikely that you’ll be able to organize an intra-party coup when each and every one of your potential co-conspirators has an avowed personal, professional and political philosophy of "fuck you, I got mine. " It’s like being on survivor, but every contestant is Russel Hantz…

Don’t underestimate the orange one’s capacity to be so awful that the Chinese take sides with the DPRK. And the Chicoms DEFINITELY have ICBMs that can hit the US mainland.

Tillerson convinced Trump that it was fake news.
