Because I don’t think she would be a suitable actor and facsimile… You know, in my opinion.
No, I don’t understand what you mean. I have an assumption, especially given your Fiennes/Jackson remark, but I hate making assumptions. Be clear in what you’re saying.
Based upon what, exactly?
Your analogy is a rather poorly chosen one:
Fiennes was a bad choice to play Jackson due to white-washing, (despite the fact that MJ had bleached his skin.)
I don’t see how that makes any sense.
Physically- the casting is spot on. And Gomez has the musical chops.
If you’re referring to ethic concerns- which your Fienes comment might seem to imply - they’re both the children of one Mexican heritage parent and one Anglo.
Seems odd, doesn’t it?
If someone holds the opinion that ‘Gomez is not a very good actress’, that would be more understandable… you’d think a person would just post that sentiment.
You’re being generous. It sounds [deleted]
It’s rare, I know.
ASSume ‘good faith,’ and whatnot…
I shall revise my comment
No need!
I just watched you do that in real time
“That’s cute” says Siddig El Tahir El Fadil El Siddig Abdurrahman Mohammed Ahmed Abdel Karim El Mahdi
“Doctor Twink” is easier to remember.
Yeah, I have a friend who shares some names with the good doctor PLUS Hannibal’s family name (as in the general who nearly destroyed the Roman Empire) and we are in awe of his cool name. He wasn’t aware of the Hannibal connection so I was very excited!
Neat! Most of us just some some peasant name or some name that came from whatever our ancestors did… It’s cool to have a connection to a major historical figure like that…
Also, I think his uncle is Malcolm McDowell, on his English mother’s side…
I used to live not far at all from the Gola del Furlo, which is the very narrow part of the Furlo river valley where the Romans ambushed and defeated Hannibal. Really cool to think he has a direct connection to that.
The Linda Rondstadt / Jerry Brown thing always gets to me. My father, who is 86, was very enthusiastic about his presidential candidacy. Me? I was enthusiastic about Linda Rondstadt!
Actually, I’m still very enthusiastic about Linda. What an amazing talent. And I’m very excited to see Gomez play her.
If you’re angling to get me to say it’s something racist, misogynistic, sexist, or whatever, then you are completely wrong.
I simply have a different vision of Linda Ronstadt than one that is capable of being emulated by Selena Gomez.
