I mean, you’re not wrong. It is a procedural. But with a gimmick. And the gimmick turns out to be the real meat of the show. By the end of season two I almost didn’t care what happened with the actual numbers anymore, I needed to know more about the Machine and the characters.
EDIT: Oh and the leader of the Anonymous-style group in season two (a character I found SUPER ANNOYING) is played by Leslie Odom Jr., aka (until recently) Aaron Burr in Hamilton on Broadway.
I just can’t invest the time for that, to get to that point we’re talking 45 shows. I got bored with Burn Notice doing the same thing, story of the week with a few minutes of arc thrown in.
As a note, I’m kinda gratified how few have ‘Lost’ on their lists. What crap.
