I’m already seeing kooky replies to news on Facebook that they chose an out of the way spot so they could kill him without anyone seeing. (No word on why, under that theory, they wouldn’t have manufactured a phony story that resulted in all the witnesses being shot dead rather than just Finicum.)
Given the attention this had received, I’ll be stunned if there aren’t multiple dashcam angles shot in HD and 3D.
Yes, let’s just ignore the fact that she actually does have ties to the terrorists. You’re the one who’s inflating a statement that she has ties to the terrorists into a claim that she herself is one.
Ammon Bundy, the son of Cliven, traveled to Carson City Tuesday to meet with Assemblywoman Michele Fiore, a Republican who was front and center at the standoff between the BLM, the Bundy family and a cadre of militiamen in Bunkerville last April. … Ammon and Fiore describe the stab at political activism as a means to thrust more ranchers and everyday citizens in political power.
Nope both are terrorists. Its just one has better post-bellum PR.
Case in point Menachim Begin, former Prime Minister of Israel and former member of the Stern Gang came out and said with no reservations whatsoever, “we were terrorists”. He did not like whitewashing his own prior acts or those who continued to commit such things.
It is wholly unsanitary to use small gummy penises for actual sexual purposes, unless that is your thing in which case I will not judge, only remind you to count them before and after and to wash thoroughly before consuming, and also wash yourself thoroughly after having sexy time with the candy.
I don’t know what these are made of! Could be VD for all I know.
Every dictionary I’ve checked so far makes it pretty clear that although religious beliefs can be one reason for being a martyr, the word covers someone suffering or sacrificing for any kind of cause of belief.
Mirriam-Webster, for instance, includessuffering from an illness as a possible reason to be called a martyr. But the relevant definition would likely be: “a person who sacrifices something of great value and especially life itself for the sake of principle”
Yeah, the story states that Bundy is specifically upset about sex toys, but kind of glosses over the hate mail part. I don’t get his priorities. I think I’d be more worried about the hate mail than a bunch of anonymously-sent vibrators.
And that’s a fair statement to make and I can respect your opinion on that.
I’m not suggesting that people should be killed for their idiocy. I’m simply making a statement of emotional exhaustion and being honest that there are so many innocent people out there who don’t wield guns, make threats, takeover property that isn’t theirs, point sniper rifles at people, etc. who do get killed that when circumstances arise that are out of my hands regarding the ill-fated exploits of people who do actually do all those things and may be seen to have brought their fate upon themselves by their own free will and chosen actions, I’m not going to lament their demise.
There’s a difference between capital punishment by means of state ordered execution and threatening law enforcement officers with a gun after you’ve said you will shoot someone who tries to take you alive.
I’d prefer that no one had guns and the cops had at most a taser and some pepper spray, but that’s wishful thinking that is unrealistic considering our nation’s entrenched gun culture. I’m not even arguing about right and wrong here, but rather just predictable outcomes based on patterns of behavior wherein police officers who encounter people with weapons are trained and cultured to shoot first and ask questions later (especially if the people who are thought to have weapons are people of color, regardless of whether they actually have a weapon or are just perceived to have a weapon). These guys knew that this was a possible outcome and still went through with their actions. Hence, I’d have a difficult time not considering them responsible for such an outcome.
