I dunno… “be the light” doesn’t sound like anything i would cover up with vulgarity. Kinda dick move, if you ask me.

Lots of other stuff I’d cover up. Like lost cat posters. Your cat isn’t lost, they are free now! If they had 999 other cats that were free and could all dream at the same time, they would be rulers of the planet again.

How can I peel one of these stickers off my computer screen? Asking for a friend.

Far as I can tell, “be the light” is religious in nature, part of a bible verse. I have no problem covering one vulgarity with another.

I live in Seattle, and I haven’t seen any of these omnipresent “Be the light” stickers. But I’m not sure I prefer omnipresent “Shut the fuck up” stickers.

Shut the fuck up.

See this is what will happen. You will find 6 these stickers just plastered 6 inches thick on poles as people attempt to out “shut the fuck up” the next person.

Block out the incorrect opinions and leave only the correct ones. No problem.

As an alternative, they look useful for covering up fascist propaganda with a message to the fascists. Who doesn’t want the fash to “Shut the fuck up”?

All I could find was this:

I saw one of these on a lamp-post yesterday:

no idea what was underneath it.

Whatever it was it wasn’t worth seeing, unless the cat sticker was put there by some arsehole who thinks that anti-racists are the real racists.

edited to make things clearer

Yeah, but they will use those sticker to cover up the gay pride march or socialist rally or what ever.

Instead of the street level exchange of ideas, it’s just “shut the fuck up”. Though as a parent, sometimes that’s all you want - some peace and quiet. So maybe just everything covered in black with white letters is the way to go?
