Schumer should agree to fund a wall. The statement that allocates funds for that wall needs to specify where it is to be built: around Mar-a-Lago, to “provide additional security for the winter White House”. But as a wall designed to provide security, it should be as close to impregnable as it can be. That means no door or gate that would serve as a weak spot. It should also be tall, as the loss of an ocean view is a small price to pay for security.
