Sikh maritimers stage astounding bhangra dance-routine with snow shovels

Exactly. I didn’t even bother with the snowblower as the noise would have been too disruptive in that early morning sun.

For those who don’t know the accoutrements of snow removal, they’re using children’s shovels. That’s why they’re so tiny and flimsy looking.

LOL – this is great! My plow guy is an ex-merchant marine Sikh, and we had just been consoling our sorry 18-degree selves with stories about how much worse cold temps are on open water. Then this popped up…and we laughed our asses off. Much better than freezing our asses off; thank you for posting!

It snowed in Punjab in 2012 - that was the first time in 40 years. So, not very often.

I didn’t see any in Punjab.

Saw a bunch in Kashmir, though

I don’t miss shoveling snow, but some Bhangra is the jam…

Better than our usual Nova Scotian “drink and swear” method of snow removal.

18 degrees is very warm for this time of the year. Or do you mean CelsiusFahrenheit?

ETA: sorry, meant Fahrenheit, wrote Celsius

Only barbarians use Fahrenheit.

18C is a pretty crappy minimum overnight for this time of year. :sunglasses: :tropical_drink: :palm_tree:

Grain scoop for heavy wet snow, push-broom for the cold fluffies.

Right, you’re in the southern hemisphere. It’s dead of winter by us up north.

That’s like 64°F.

Compared to where I grew up, that’s practically “balmy.”

Mid 70s are more usual for this time of year.

Brrrr… I’ve lived in places like that. Never again.

Same here, believe me.

I moved away for a reason; although it’s pretty damn chilly for my part of CA right now - far cooler than I care for.

Great dancing; but I found the red “Exit” sign mesmerising,

Is it weird that I heard the Beatles sing the name in the style of “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” …

Yeah, I was watching the vid, thinking that was some pretty groovy music, and then that …puke came on.
