Nah, religiosity doesn’t drive puritanical sexual repression and oppression of non-puritans, it’s merely one of the more common excuses used to try to rationalize it. There’s a shameful history of irreligious groups and individuals making common cause with Xtian puritans to police the agency, sexual expression and body-autonomy of other people, especially of women.
Here is one the best and most empathetic responses I’ve ever seen to policing women’s bodies…
People have forgotten what the Super Bowl is supposed to be about.
It isn’t supposed to be about women collecting huge paychecks by flaunting their bodies for the entertainment of others, it’s supposed to be about men collecting huge paychecks by destroying their bodies for the entertainment of others!
My favorite part! Nailed it!
Oversized image file was oversized.
How do they move their butts like that? I can’t believe it. I tried to move my butt like that and I looked like a dog defecating.
Sounds like the kid handled it (literally) in a reasonable fashion.
F*** them H**** a**** b******.
Roger that.
So to speak.
Don’t these people own a remote?
Franklin, 2020: “Women who dance are evil creatures!”
Also Franklin, 2019: “Topless Adam Levine was really nice to see!”
Also Also Franklin: “Shit, I’m gay.”
Have these people never seen a Superbowl? This is about par for the course, with a few diversions into “old artists” and/or “honoring some important event like the post-9/11 show with U2” (which, by the way, remains the single greatest Superbowl halftime show ever).
Thank you!
Hadn’t seen this one by the Undertones before! Brings back many memories!
In the words of the later Kenny Everett
“Roy Rogers. Doesn’t everybody?”
You mean no early release?
Are you finished?
Kid, Jesus said no such thing. Now a bunch of other people said some nasty stuff that ended up in the same book as some of the stuff we think Jesus might have said and done, but even in that whole book Jesus didn’t go around calling a lot of stuff evil. Except moneychangers which I guess is what became banks, maybe the stock market. He wasn’t best impressed with those.
It’s a marvel (and a pity) that people this uptight about anything even remotely sexual somehow manage to procreate.
Someone reminded me that the standard NFL isn’t any better or worse than the half time show costumes.
But that’s OK, because those women aren’t paid properly (look it up, it’s quite a scandal) and literally have to sign contracts that basically spell out the exact parameters of their sexual objectiveness. In comparison, JLo and Shakira are professionals who can negotiate strong contracts regarding their work despite being, you know…FEMALE. Can’t have that!
