That’s really good humour. There’s moments where you wonder…is he kidding? Then he says something that makes you sure he is. 
He’s managing to walk a Poe line that is very thin these days.

He was really funny throughout the pandemic and with his support of Trump.
“I’m not getting vaccinated! What the worst that could happen? My wife and kids both die?”
And on the Trump boat parade where several boats sank:
“I had so many Trump flags on my boat it sank. Someone threw me a life preserver, but if I’m not going to take the common sense advice of getting vaccinated, then I sure won’t accept a life preserver.”

Hyperbole is an intentional exaggeration, not meant to be taken literally. “I’m so hungry I could eat a horse.”
What they’re doing, it’s not hyperbole. They are saying what they believe. They are deliberately saying this in order to stir people up to go and cause actual physical harm to non cis-het-white dudes. Calling it “hyperbole” writes it off as a harmless turn of phrase, and assumes the person who uttered it assumed that their audience would assume that it was not meant to be taken literally. Wrong. They want people to terrorize Target shoppers. They want people to harass, to the point of death, “others.” They want people to storm the Capitol.
Hyperbole it aint.

I also think you might have missed my point about how the GOP, in its attempt to sew hate and division, tend to paint everything in stark terms suggesting the end of the world with everyone of their manufactured grievances.
