Actually the drive section of the Enterprise D separated and exploded before the saucer section crashed into the atmosphere.

This actually looks much more appealing than that movie though.
Also those warp nacelles look more like the Enterprise A than the enterprise D.
True, but I don’t know how one would even attempt the shape of those curvy nacelle struts with gingerbread.
I demand Voyager-style articulated pylons.

Actually, any of the various Enterprise hulls were made from duranium or tritanium alloys, cast rhodinium, or even ferro cement…gingerbread is hardly a suitable substitute for the hull of a star ship.
I even read that in his voice!
