Movies, and shows on Disney+, will there be?

I hope that whoever decided the Star Wars universe needed more Gungans was just joking.

ETA: That isn’t some badass bounty Hunter wearing an intimidating gas mask, BTW. It’s an aristocrat who accidentally got his lips stuck in a vacuum cleaner.

I prefer the romantic comedy Looking for Love in Alderaan Places.

As a generic backdrop for where they’re going to load all their next storylines, this is quite promising. I like that they’ve walked away from anything around the 9 movies (retconned into the “Skywalker Saga” which no one used until the last movie when they decided that it needed to be called that and that still bugs me).
That said I’d have much preferred going back thousands of years (I guess this is hundreds? Did they say and I missed it?) to ensure there is zero chance of cross over beyond places and themes, OR, going into the future to tell the story of what happens post resurgence of the Jedi, but I’m guessing that’s a story we’ll come back to a decade form now when everyone’s had some space from the divisiveness of episodes 8 and 9 and we’re ready to just move forward without stabbing eyeballs.

edit - IDW and Marvel? I hadn’t realised that Disney use a comics company they don’t even own… I guess they really were just buying Marvel for the character rights. (also yay Charles Soule is involved in that writers room).

If “Star Wars University” is not used as an opportunity to reboot Clone High I’m going to be very disappointed…

Star Wars wore out its welcome with Episode 6. Or three or whatever the fuck. Please, please make it stop.

If you’re not enjoying the films/shows, then the best option is not to watch them. Others disagree and seem to be enjoying them, so…

Understand, do I. Anyway, OK thanks.

Just to be sure:
Is there irony in your post?

To me it looks like a “write an exchangable SW novel” toolbox.

Seriously though, if you are not reading Daniel José Older’s work, get thee to thy nearest bookstore, library or purveyor of audio literature entertainments. Get something for you, something for the kids (he writes the entire gamut from kids to definitely-meant-for-adults).
