Why can’t it ever be an ancient, hate-spewing politician or pundit? Always gotta be the actors, artists, authors, musicians, scientists, anyone who actually made a positive memorable contribution to society. Meanwhile the virtually-fossilized assholes with the destructive, selfish, outright evil influences seem to live eternally.

Not that this is supported by any reporting I’ve yet seen, but cocaine is a hell of a drug. Even decades later.
I read Kelly Carlin’s book earlier this year (George Carlin’s daughter); for about the last 20 years of his life, George’s heart was held together basically with duct tape and baling wire.
