How about water? I just checked and Florida is going to get into the mid to upper 80s this week. How much shade is outside Mar-a-largo?
Gotta ask, where’s that clip from?
And, is that Val?
Thanks @gracchus .
I can’t recall seeing it, though I know of it.
It’s not the one with Einstein in?
Oh, don’t bother answering that, I’ll IMDB it.
ETA - Not seen it. Not the Einstein one. Will find it somewhere and watch it now though, so ta muchly.
Yep that’s Val, it’s from the movie Real Genius
ETA: Oops, got beat to the punch
Here’s your coke, @gracchus
That’s the real thing!
Honestly? I’d be happy to fill a moat with “patriots”. Very happy.
Don’t forget the piranhas…
The human body is mostly water.
You know “the tree of Liberty must be refreshed from time to time”. . . something something. . . .
(It’s kind of funny that they are literally talking about a ring of riflemen surrounding Trump. . . like they aren’t familiar with the phrase “circular firing squad.”)
Oh good, I’m not the only one who jumped to that same allusion.
I think you mean…
At the risk of getting too far off-topic, this movie is fantastic - the writer did his research, basing it on life at Caltech, and getting the science mostly right. Plus, it’s hilarious. One of my top-five favorite movies of the 80s. See it immediately.
Thanks for the recommendation.
I am currently 24 minutes and 14 seconds into said movie on another tab.
Good stuff so far and, so as not to stray too far off-topic, not a single bloody barricade, although one ‘moat’ of dry-ice in the corridor.
They’re dumb, but not that dumb.
Meanwhile, here in GA…
It’s a classic!
Yes it is/was.
Just finished it. Really good fun.
Longer than I expected.
Classic 80’s teen-movie villain (William Atherton).
A night of not-before visited nostalgia for me!
