Stephen Bannon fooled Trump into signing executive order that gave him national security role

Well spotted. My faith in humanity ticks one sliver back towards sanity.

Clickhole is a ‘satire’ site, not a news site. Probably not a good idea to post links to anything they post without providing that little piece of information.

Here are their current top stories (onebox truncated their titles, so I’m just using normal links):

A New Intimidation Tactic: Sean Spicer Is Wearing A Suit Three Sizes Too Small And Drinking Water From A Thimble To Make The Press Think He Is Growing

Government In Chaos: Donald Trump Signed An Executive Order That Just Says ‘HOT CUBE’ And Federal Agencies Are Scrambling To Interpret It

And my personal favorite:

That’s presuming that he ever knew who Douglass was in the first place.

Sorry, I thought ClickHole was known as a satire site.

But it is a sign of the times that an article like that is taken seriously.

OTOH, probably-for-real I imagine the dissed-and-indignant intelligence services are working up a file on Bannon which would get him barred from polite company if revealed.

I don’t know. mater semper certa est pater numquam - the mother is always certain, the father not so much.

You want somebody who is a master baiter?

(Someone had to.)

To be fair to this miscreant: they were age 3 or under, right?

Close enough, though.

I totally agree with you. I just meant, a baseline assumption about the work of a “successful businessman” is that he would spend a lot of time looking at contracts, offerings, annual reports, etc.

Off topic, but my mother died after five years of it. You and your family have my entire sympathy. I wouldn’t wish Alzheimer’s on my worst enemy.

I am so sorry you and your family, as well as for your loss.

Nana lived for almost 10 years, and at the end was like a 5’4" 100 lb infant. It broke my heart, but it almost killed my poor mother who had the care of her with a little help from the state (they lived in a red state, surprise).

Don’t be. We live in a country that still has a health service and she got excellent care. But for the last four years, despite the efforts of a psychiatric nurse, she was usually distressed. The psychiatrist, in fact, advised my father to stop visiting because it made her worse. Your mother obviously had it very much worse.

Is that real? It’s awesomeme.

I think pushing Alt-Right wackos out of the White House and replacing them with establishment Republicans might improve our prospects a little. Probably a lot of other folks here think 6 to 1, half a dozen to another.

I think it would be a huge improvement, in the sense that:

We’ve survived a GOP White House & GOP Senate & GOP House before.

And this time progressives will be a lot more educated, aware, and motivated.

“Survive” being the operative concept here, from my perspective.

“Polite” company which is apparently okay with wife-beating fascists.
