Stressed-out students can now break down in the Cry Closet at the University of Utah

I have an extra Boba Fett Tsum Tsum. I think the larger one, or the medium…

Controversial thought, but how about adapting the University experience to be less stressful, therefore removing the need for a ‘cry closet’?

What? But then how will they cope with the “real” world? /s

But seriously, we should actually start with K-12, especially HS. Many of the kids I know in public schools are overworked and stressed out already. College is like that, but with less support. This is especially tough on kids who don’t have parents who went to college.

Oh lovely, this doesn’t at all enforce the new stereotype that College has degraded into a day care center for emotionally fragile adults.

Is this for the same folk who require their parents to accompany them to job interviews?

Uh, yea; “10 minutes should be enough time, lets go.”

Do you use a lot of daycare where the strategy for dealing with crying infants is to shove them in a closet?

We’ve always had “emotionally fragile” adults, I think they are called adults.

Anyway, a cry closet is an infinitely better solution than alcoholism, which has been the norm for thousands of years.

Whenever I go to IKEA, I wish they made these chairs in adult sizes…

As a wee kid i loved hiding/chilling in my closet, under the bed, behind furniture, etc.and i also had a tent that could fit a twin size bed and would occasionally set it up and would sleep in it for weeks. Having a quiet private place, even within your own bedroom was really comforting. I would not mind having a chair or couch that could be cocooned or enclosed like the one you linked to
