Students build pyramid from 27,434 toilet paper rolls

Assuming a pyramid with a square base, this works out to 43 levels high, because:

1^2 + 2^2 + 3^2 + … + n^2 = n(n+1)(2n+1)/6

192 rolls (2 Boxes) - $140
Every box Past 2 is an additional $60

$8600 to purchase the 143 boxes of tp used. Much less than I expected.

Two-ply paper and 500 sheets per roll.

Average American uses 100 rolls every year.

That works out to 137 sheets per day, or about 50 feet.

I don’t know about you, but I’m far below average in this category.

In Barrow, Alaska, this would run you $40,227.39

My gut feeling is that these statistics are flawed because they don’t adequately consider the ratios of 1-ply/2-ply/3-ply/4-ply (is there such a thing as 5-ply?).
People using 1- or 2-ply paper are more likely to use more sheets and stack or fold them, thereby using more rolls but probably roughly the same amount of total paper as the 3- and 4-ply crowd.
Further study is needed…

Maybe, maybe not. I prefer my bog rolls made out of Egyptian cotton.
