Have you missed everything Donald Trump has said about immigrants? The violent, exclusionist rallies? The ties to white supremacist groups, that terrifying speech with the pigsā blood thing? The man is insane.
I would say heās just as likely to initiate a holocaust as Ted Cruz. Probably more so; when someone starts leveraging the political system with violence thereās a lot more horrible things they could accomplish than if they just played it by the book.
I guess what it boils down to is that Trump is better than Cruz at getting people to do what he wants, by threats or by charm, whereas everyone hates Cruz and seems to want nothing to do with him.

What terrifies me about Trump is that heās completely capricious. Cruz would be a nightmare, but heās at least predictable. Trumpā¦he I could see blowing up the goddamn world for nothing more than an ego trip.

Letās give it to a politician whoās completely in bed with Wall Street and excuses her misuse of government email systems with statements like: āIt wasnāt marked as classified.ā

What are you basing this on? Of the OECD countries, the USA has the fourth worst gini coefficient after taxes and transfers. In a study by Allianz, America had the most wealth inequality of 55 countries.

And damage a golf course? Trump is a property developer; he even opposes almost-invisible-on-the-horizon wind farms in case they spoil the view. Given a choice between Trump and Clinton, which is better; the one who would do a deal with Putin in exchange for some nice riverside property in the Donbass, or the irrational militarist?
I was thinking of the West in general, and actually sort of thinking about Denmark, where I lived for a while and still work.

Because really, there is nothing you can do against a religious zealot. Thereās no degree of either force nor reason which will turn them around. Itās not just the holocaust they are willing to bring about, itās the fact that they would look at it as both righteous and inevitable. Lose a battle against them, they consider it proof of divine favor and redouble their efforts. Win a battle against them, it feeds into their persecution complex and they redouble their efforts. You canāt even appeal to their basic survival instinct because they think the best part of life comes after they die. The only way to actually beat them probably involves genocide and scorched earth.
Nazis and Trump loyalists are much easier once you understand a couple key things about them. First and foremost is that the crazy is actually founded on top of an entirely legitimate issue- That these are people who have been economically screwed. Second is that theyāre proud. Theyāre against handouts because they want to provide for themselves. They donāt intrinsically hate people so much as they are looking for someone to blame. They try to work, they do everything theyāre supposed to, and just donāt understand why they arenāt getting by. Theyāre angry, frustrated, desperate, and hereās the key- They donāt understand whoās actually screwing them. So when someone comes along and says āIām gonna bring your jobs back and everything will be fine, and in the meantime, why donāt you take out your frustrations on that guyā, they feel vindicated and theyāre not inclined to ask too many questions.
The upshot is that if we can just give these guys a job- Like maybe rebuilding our crumbling infrastructure- They will be fine, and all the other shit (mostly) just evaporates.
Like I said, Iād rather deal with Nazis than the Taliban.

Add the word STUPID please. Trump offers these folks absolutely NOTHING and they are to effing stupid to see it. What scares me most is that there are so many absolutely ignorant people in America. Republicans keep cutting education budgets and manipulating text books and content (hello Texas) and this is what we are left with.
