You must be joking. Most cops do deserve respect and gratitude. This asshole is a raging anomaly. He should be up on murder charges. imo.
They deserve the same level of respect as any other human, provided they are treating others with the same respect.
They do not deserve special campaigns at schools and above the law deference.

Absolutely, but there are procedures to remove them. Hopefully now that this audio is out there the public won’t stand for it.

“Above the law deference”? What are you smoking? Nobody ethical promotes that; that you repeat it like it is the truth highlights your bias.
Respect is earned, never “deserved.” What, exactly, about extrajudicial execution is so worthy of respect in your mind? Without that badge, it’s called murder, and in this case, 2nd degree if we’re being generous.
